In the memories of late Barkatullah Khan, Ex-Chief Minister of Rajasthan, a hostel has been constructed in the campus of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Muslim Senior Secondary School, Jodhpur.

Dr. Laxmi Mal Singhvi, former High Commissioner of India in Britain and Ex. Member of Parliament has inaugurated Barkatullah Khan Hostel. On this occasion, Smt. Amita Chaudhry - Dist Head, Smt. Suryakanta  Vyas - MLA, Mr. Shaukat Ansari, Niyasi Kamlesh Purohit, Md. Rafiq (Bundu), Mr. Tayib Ansari - BJP Minority Vice President, Mr. Javed Bhai, Counsellor Shahnaz, Mr. Md. Hanif - Hajj Committee and other dignitories of Jodhpur were present.

We are very thankful to Dr. Laxmi Mal Singhvi to contribute from his MP fund of Rs. 6.80 lacs to construct the building and also Jodhpur Urban Improvement Trust which is now known as Jodhpur Development Authority who contributed a sum of 30 lacs in two phases. The total expense incurred upto now is Rs. 60 lacs. There are 72 students staying in this hostel at present.
