The Marwar Muslim Educational & Welfare
Society has chalked out a future plan of
action to provide for the increased
awareness among the new generation and
their demands for better and advanced
education. Keeping in view the
difficulties faced by students
coming from distant areas to Jodhpur for
higher education, establishment of a
hostel was considered to be an urgent
need. The hostel will accommodate 200
boys and will cost about 35 lacs to the
Society. In order to promote social and
cultural activities, the construction of
a double storyed auditorium has been
planned at the cost of Rs. 45 lacs. Shri
Jaswant Singh Ji, erstwhile Finance
Minister, Govt. of India and Shri Gaj
Singh Ji, the former Maharaja of
Jodhpur, have already laid the
foundation stone for the construction of
a hostel and an auditorium, respectively
on 11 Febuary 2004 in Maulana Azad
Senior Secondary School Complex.
Permission has been granted to the
Society for establishment of it. These
entities are called:
1.
Maharaja Ummed Singh
Auditorium
2. Maulana Azad M.Ed. College
3. Pashudhan Sahayak Institutes

Considering the explosive rate of
depletion of medicinal plants from
earth, a research project has been
submitted to the Government of India,
proposing to conserve the threatened
species of medicinal plants (endemic to
the Thar Desert). This project has been
named as Hakeem Luqman Medicinal Plants'
Garden. The conservation project will
be undertaken at Bhujawar.
